ENVY

Envy is considered one of the seven deadly sins, defined as sorrow for another's good fortune or excellence and an immoderate desire to acquire it for oneself. This sin generates other immoral behaviors, leading to hatred, gossip, and a joy in others' misfortunes, acting as a corrupt inversion of charity. Envy is a "self-administered poison" that leads to unhappiness, fosters a mindset of comparison and discontent, and can cause significant harm to relationships and one's spiritual life. When envy wishes grave harm to another, it can become a mortal sin.
Queen of the show
I have been unable to get what I wanted,
My marriage left me largely unfulfilled,
I made some big mistakes, that cannot be corrected,
and all this leads to anger, that can get somebody killed.
I´m no longer denying the gaps in my life,
for the sake - of inner convenience,
I was his trophy wife with the prenuptial chain,
and had to chose some drastic intervenience ...
So I drew the plan, to shoot him in the face,
one bullet only — leaving no trace.
I felt it´s justice, only colder and bigger,
when I pulled the trigger.
Oh, it’s heaven to be wealthy, famous and adored,
to inherit all his fortune, and be member of the board.
They all bow to me now, I’m the queen of the show,
I put him away, and nobody will ever know.
He thought my pain could be cured by champain,
and in his eyes I was - just a silly bitch,
MY cure to all this contempt and disdain:
I took revenge on the powerful and rich.
Now I´m the wealthy one, I´m famous and adored,
the heiress of his fortune, and member of the board.
they all duck and they crawl before the queen of the show,
´cause my husband left the stage ...
but why, they´ll never know.
The strength of envy and the scale of our regret
depends on what we desire but cannot get,
without being defensive, excuses or denial,
and without evidence, there´ll be no trial.
Yes, I´m the queen of the show ...
my husband left the stage - but why, they´ll never know.
